Community Programs
Starting Community
Revitalization Action Programs (S.C.R.A.P)
program is a hands on program within the heart of the
community where JDIN volunteers and staff discover the
needs of individuals within the community through heart
to heart, door to door communications. Staff assesses
the needs and implements a plan to “realistically” meet
those needs. Focus will be the elderly, handicapped and
single family homes.
Save Our Parks Program
(S.O.P.) is a specific program designed to
reemphasize the importance of the community parks
programs to our youth through the positive
implementation of activities and recreation in an
attempt to get back to the parks original purpose and
intent.
Community “At Risk”
Education (C.A.R.E.) is designed to educate
the community through personal contact within the
community discussing statistics, awareness information,
and basic understanding of some of the thoughts of an at
risk individual. Our focus for this education is city
and county government, business owners, individual
citizens and the faith community.
